Liam shows his very awake look and tries out the swing from Helen and Tom. We all went for a hike with friends Mari and Alex. Laura came over for a visit and Liam is anxious to meet Laura and Charlie's baby in Sept.

Meme comes to Alaska

Meme, aka Grandma Cleary, came into town for five days and is enjoying some nice time with Liam. He loves to hear Meme sing and he is singing back.

We got to show off Liam at Liz's work at the school district.

Eagle River and BBQ

Liam got to hike with mom, dad and Colette at the Eagle River Nature Center. Coletter and Michael are due to have a little boy very soon and Liam is excited to meet his new friend. We also went to a neighborhood BBQ where Liam was a big hit.

More Liam

Tie dies, visitors and babysitters. Janis came over for a visit and Meghan watched Liam for an hour while Steve took Liz out for sushi to celebrate Mother's Day and Liz's birthday.

Moose on the Loose

The daffodils had just bloomed and Granny Sue Howell was just packing her bags to leave around 8pm last night when a big moose wandered into the front yard and started down the buffet line. I felt a little like Marlin Perkins on Wild Kingdom, safe behind the car while Sue tried to shoe the mama moose away. Liam was upstairs eating at the time and didn't get to see the moose.

Hiking with Granny Sue

In addition to lots of great cooking, Granny Sue Howell got to go on a few nice hikes with us. Liam really liked being held by her and knows how much she rocks.

Start Wearing Pink

Liam has already figured out that pink is the new black. Of the cloth diapers we bought, and the many we were gifted - among them Motherease, Swaddlebees, Bummis, Bumkins, Dappis, Kissaluvs, G Diapers and Kushies - the one that fits best is pink and he loves it. Sue and Jan Howell made it in last night. Liam loves them very much.

Bed Bath and Beyond

A big quilt from the Quinlins, another from Yvette, a gift box from Liz Repetto, Liam's first bath. Liam is very excited to meet his Howell grandparents tomorrow night.
